Heavy metal poisoning (heavy metal pollution) – alternative environmental medicine

How do you recognize heavy metal poisoning?
The symptoms of metal poisoning are varied and often not very specific. They depend primarily on which metal was ingested and how high the concentration is in the body. If you have the following symptoms, you should also think about heavy metals as possible triggers:
Complaints that may arise due to exposure to toxins:
• chronic fatigue
• lack of energy (CFS, chronic fatigue syndrome)
• skin problems
• headache
• muscle aches
• hair loss
• depression and anxiety
• learning disorders, ADHD syndrome
• neurological diseases
• skin diseases
• susceptibility to infections and allergies
• sleep disorders
• behavioral disorders
• coordination disorders
• nervousness, aggressive behavior, social adjustment disorders
• skin and tooth discoloration
• stunted growth • underweight/overweight
Heavy metals can accumulate in the body and possibly remain there for decades.
Since these symptoms also occur in many other illnesses, they are often not associated with heavy metal poisoning.
In our everyday environment we are often, even unconsciously, exposed to toxins that disrupt the functions of our body cells both in the short and long term. This permanently changes the processes of body functions. Initially acute symptoms arise and later inevitably manifest chronic illnesses.
Toxins are often heavy metals, such as mercury, lead, arsenic, cadmium, manganese or aluminum (light metal) and others. They can have a decisive influence on cell metabolism. The toxicity of different metals depends on the attachment of the respective metal to the histidine and cysteine groups of the cell, as well as on the interaction of the metal with enzymes and membrane components. In addition to changing or possibly destroying cell metabolism, toxins contribute to the formation of free radicals and thus directly to cell damage. This could potentially lead to malignant changes or cell destruction. From the perspective of alternative medicine, these are responsible for the development of diseases such as: B. cancer, neurodegenerative diseases (Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, multiple sclerosis, lateral sclerosis) and autoimmune diseases (diabetes mellitus, rheumatism, neurodermatitis, Hashimoto’s disease, bronchial asthma).
If, in addition to a toxin load in the body, there are also deficiencies, e.g. in essential trace elements and minerals, cell function can be disrupted more quickly and sustainably by toxins. Due to the frequent exposure of the organism to several different pollutants (metals, chemical compounds), the harmful effects on the body can increase.
Removing toxins from the body is imperative. Detoxification can potentially eliminate many complaints and support the long-term health of the body’s cells and the entire organism. A special procedure is necessary when removing amalgam fillings from the teeth. Since this can cause massive mercury contamination of the body in the short term, it is absolutely necessary to remove mercury in parallel to dental treatment.
Sources of heavy metals:
• amalgam fillings or other dental metals,
• harmful substances in the work area (metal processing, laboratory work, painting, etc.),
• aluminum or copper in the cooking area,
• smoking and passive smoking,
• industrial plants, incinerators, garbage dumps,
• medicines or nutritional supplements from contaminated areas,
• fast food, ready meals, drinks,
• food (fish, seafood, rice, vegetables),
• pollution of drinking water (lead pipes, etc.),
• wall colors, painting colors,
• geographically determined pressures,
• fertilization with manure.
What causes heavy metal poisoning?
Some metals, such as zinc, iron, copper and nickel, are essential for our bodies.
Other heavy metals are not endogenous and immediately act as poisons. These include mercury, lead and cadmium. Potentially toxic heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, nickel, aluminum, silver and palladium have a toxic effect on our bodies even in small amounts. The harmful effects of heavy metals in combination with other poisons or by several heavy metals at the same time can accumulate in our body and increase the disease-causing effect. However, this can vary greatly from person to person and depends on the body’s own detoxification capacity.
How do you diagnose heavy metal poisoning and what diagnostics do we use?
In order to diagnose heavy metal poisoning, a thorough medical history is required. During the patient interview, questions relevant to environmental medicine can be asked about sleeping, living and working conditions or eating habits, as well as any abnormalities in your place of residence or work. Tests and laboratory examinations that have already been carried out can also provide further information.
If the complaints and symptoms as well as the findings suggest heavy metal poisoning, a laboratory analysis must be carried out to determine the type and amount of heavy metal contamination.
Our multi-element hair analysis with 39 metallic elements provides information about heavy metal contamination in your body, as well as the detection of important trace elements. Which are displaced by heavy metals, or a deficit arises from a supplement.
The investigation includes:
Aluminum, antimony, arsenic, barium, beryllium, bismuth, boron, cadmium, calcium, chromium, phosphorus germanium, iron, iodine, potassium, cobalt, copper, mercury, lithium, lead, magnesium, manganese, molybdenum, sodium, nickel, platinum , rubidium, selenium, strontium, thallium, thorium, tin, titanium, uranium, vanadium, silver, zinc, zirconium and sulfur. Multi-element analysis of hair is a reliable and accurate diagnostic measurement.

Which diagnostics and tests are indicated or necessary?
1. Detailed anamnesis and medical history (complaints, symptoms, eating habits, stool quality, stool quantity, other illnesses).
2. Physical examination (in our practice includes osteopathic and kinesiological tests).
3. Laboratory diagnostics – multi-element hair analysis)
(– results take approx. 14 days)
After receiving all the findings and evaluating the findings brought by the patient, the results are summarized and a therapy concept is created. This therapy concept should not be viewed as dogma, but rather is constantly adapted over the course of therapy.
Heavy metal removal
The period of elimination depends on many factors. Firstly, the type and quantity of metal. On the other hand, the body’s own detoxification capacity, as well as the load in the intracellular (inside the cell) and extra cellular space (outside the cell). In phase 1, the extracellular space must be relieved so that these toxins do not migrate into the cell (intracellular) in phase 2. In the third phase, the tested elimination materials that are important to you are then administered in combination. This process takes a total of approx. 2-4 months.
Nutrition and physical support
A healthy diet in combination with a liver cleanse or kidney cleanse will increase the ability to eliminate and bring the body back into balance more quickly.
The diet is designed for you individually and depending on the laboratory findings and is in the alkaline range.
Elimination substances: depending on the laboratory findings and quantity as well as individual testing, there is only a selection of possible substances.
- Taurine, glycine, MSM, L-glutamine, R-alpha lipoic acid, P-5´P (activated vitamin B6), vitamin B complex activated, zinc, magnesium
- Chlorella algae, wild garlic and coriander tinctures, zeolite / silicon
Colon cleansing
Since we remove a large part of the heavy metals bound during elimination through the intestines, the last step is a double intestinal cleansing using colon hydrotherapy and the administration of probiotics.
Supplement antioxidants
e.g. Vit C, L – Gluhation, OPC, Melathonin, Vit. D3, Vit. E, e.g. Curcumin (this is just a selection – needs are tested individually!)
Minerals
And here too, most of them need to be supplemented (zinc, selenium, magnesium, copper, manganese, iron, etc.)
(this is just a selection – needs are tested individually!)
B – Vitamins
especially Vit. B1, B3, B6, B 9, B12
(this is just a selection – needs are tested individually!)
Elimination, detoxification, intestinal cleansing and supplementation is not a fad, but a necessity!
For all health-conscious people! In our society (everything is growing quickly, more and more industrial food with no nutritional value, instead rich in environmental toxins, stress and so on) it is the responsibility of every person.
